Earth Day Tips for Renters

 

Think just because you live in a rental suite there isn’t anything you can do to celebrate Earth Day? More than 6 million Canadians and over 1 billion people in over 170 countries are proving you wrong!

Earth Day (April 22) provides the opportunity for positive actions and results, turning little changes into habits, turning Earth Day into Earth Week, Earth Month and even, Earth Year!

So here are some simple tips on how you can make a difference:

  • Eat local
  • Use a reusable Bag
  • Get a plant for your suite
  • Replace your five most frequently used bulbs to LED
  • Remember to turn off your light when leaving a room
  • Unplug battery chargers when not in use
  • Wash your laundry with cold water
